The PI® Process and Overview »
The Predictive Index® (PI®) is a unique management tool. It helps companies develop their leaders, strengthen their organizations and drive performance at all levels of the company. Since 1955, PI has been successfully used by over 7,500 companies in 150 countries and 65 languages, including Braille.
The Predictive Index process improves effectiveness and productivity across throughout your organization. As a practical, reliable indicator of workplace behavior, it helps you make sound, people-smart decisions with the best results for the company and for the people themselves. The Predictive Index process is a combination of Employee Assessment, Education and Consulting.
Predictive Index® Assessment
The PI Assessment is a practical, reliable and scientifically validated employee assessment tool that provides insight into the natural workforce behavior of prospective and existing employees, resulting in improved hiring decisions, team performance, overall communication, and workforce productivity for your entire organization.
PI helps managers identify and measure the drives and motivations of their people. As a management tool, PI gives your executive team a common language and framework for your organization. It offers a new understanding of what makes people successful at work, and helps you learn how to motivate them to perform better. It helps you hire and retain talented people, and develop new leaders who are crucial to the success of your company.
The applications of the PI follow the trajectory of an employee’s work life starting with the hiring and on-boarding process, to job modeling, competency profiling, performance management, talent development, high potential identification, team building, leadership development and succession planning. These applications also help an organization successfully navigate through the change and growth that come as a result of expansion, mergers/acquisitions, restructuring and downsizing.

Predictive Index® Job Modeling: The PRO--How do you know who’s right for the job?
The PI PRO identifies the behaviors and drives necessary for superior performance on a specific job.
Before you match a person to a job, you have to know what the job requires. That's where the PRO Job Model (Performance Requirement Options™) worksheet comes in. The Job Model gives you a road map for the various positions in your organization, providing insight into the behaviors and drives necessary for superior performance in each position.
The Job Model and the Predictive Index work together. The Job Model helps you understand the specific behaviors that lead to the most effective performance in a particular job, given the realities of your organization's methods, markets, processes and management. It describes the drives and behaviors that are necessary for success, and also gives you insight into similarities and differences that might exist in various individuals' approaches to the same job.
You can compare an individual's PI results with the needs of the job, highlighting both fits and gaps to make well-informed selections. You can also tailor coaching strategies and performance management and leadership decisions to achieve positive outcomes.
